Regarding recent issues on photo radar in Morinville.
Cars don’t speed, people speed. I have heard (and it could likely be researched) that some major communities have stopped using photo radar. The results are interesting. Obviously the numbers of tickets go down because the police are now stopping the vehicle and the “driver” is getting the ticket. Add to that – other crimes are being discovered – impaired drivers, drugs, alcohol, stolen property.
In any event, the other results are an overall reduction in speeding and less accidents.
Some food for thought.
