Morinville Community Library has two pairs of tickets for the Broadway smash hit musical Newsies, to be sold in a silent auction as a library fundraiser the week of July 8th – 15th. The auction will be set up at the library circulation desk opening Friday, July 8 at 10 a.m. and closing the following Friday at 4 p.m. The tickets are for the 2 p.m. show time on Sunday, July 17th at the Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton.
Newsies is a critically acclaimed underdog story about a group of have-nots who take a stand against powerful businessmen in New York. It’s an inspiring tale about fighting for what you believe in and being true to yourself. Coupling the great story with high-energy, explosive numbers, Newsies is a musical you don’t want to miss.
All profits from the auction will go towards running library programs. The library raises funds for all of their programming in order to minimize their annual budget requirements, so fundraisers like this silent auction have a big impact on library services.
