Morinville RCMP investigating sudden death in rural area

Members from the Morinville RCMP detachment attended a rural location after a report was received this morning that a body had been found in an outdoor area.

Police can confirm that a deceased person was located and that the matter is being investigated by the Morinville RCMP detachment with assistance from the RCMP’s Major Crime Unit (MCU) from Edmonton. Providing investigators with assistance and examination of the scene is the RCMP Forensic Identification Section (FIS)

No additional details are available at this time, however, should new information pertaining to any criminal charges be confirmed through the ongoing investigation, an update will be provided.
