Jets get clipped by Red Wings

The Morinville Jets suffered their first true loss of the CJHL 2016-2017 season. After an OT loss and back-to-back wins, the Jets lost 6-3 to the North Edmonton Red Wings on the road Wednesday night.

In that contest the Jets found themselves trailing 2-1 after one, down four three after two, and scoreless against the Red Wings’ pair during the final frame.

Tyler Hagel picked up two of the Jets three goals Wednesday night. The third was pocketed by Lee Gadoury in the final minute of the middle frame.

The Jets take to the road Friday night to play the St. Albert Merchants at the Akinsdale Arena. Game time is 8 p.m. The club returns to Morinville Sunday night to face the Sherwood Park Knights. Game time is 6:45 p.m.
