Notre Dame Grade 4 students had an educational field trip to the Morinville Seed Cleaning Plant on Wednesday.

The activities and tour of the plant form part of the Grade 4 Social Studies program, whereas they analyze how Albertans interact with their environment by exploring and reflecting on how natural resources and agriculture are used by Albertans.

During the tour of the Seed Cleaning plant, they see what happens to the crops once they have been removed from the fields.

Students were then given an opportunity to touch and feel a variety of different grains grown within our natural region and see how the screening process removes impurities.
