Morinville Kings fall to Daysland

by Morinville News Staff

The Morinville Kings lost 3-1 to the Daysland Northstars Friday night, the club’s only goal earned on the power play late in the middle frame.

Friday night’s loss puts the Kings at 6-3-0 this season, one point behind third-place Daysland in the North Central Hockey League standings.

Despite sitting in the fourth slot to start the second half of the season, the Kings are scoring far more than they are being scored against. The club currently has racked up 50 goals and given up 39. The club also has three players in the league’s top 20 scorers.

The Kings hit the ice Saturday night to face the Edson Ice. Results were not available by our deadline.
