by Morinville News Staff

Last week was a great week for the Morinville Jets. The club were three for three, bringing their winning streak to seven straight games.

The Jets started the week with a 5-4 OT win against the North Edmonton Red Wings Wednesday night, a first-place showdown that put the Jets to the top of the pecking order in the CJHL’s West Division.

The Jets added to their point tally Friday night with another road game to Spruce Grove where they easily defeated the Royals 5-2. Tyler Hagel earned three of the Jets’ five goals during the game.

Sunday night saw the Jets at home for a later-than-normal start time against the visiting Leduc Riggers. The Jets emerged with a 5-1 win for their troubles.

The Jets face the Knights Friday on the road and then return home Sunday to play the Wetaskiwin Icemen. Game time is 6:45 p.m. at the Ray McDonald Sports Center.
