MCHS Juniors hit their first tournament

The Morinville Community High School Junior Wolves boys and girls participated in an invitational tournament in St. Albert at Vincent J. Maloney Catholic Junior High School over the weekend.

The Jr. Girls finished fifth in the tournament, having fallen 39-18 to the Falcons and 57-26 to Sturgeon Heights Friday night before defeating École Secondaire Sainte Marguerite d’Youville (ESSMY) 69-26 Saturday morning.

The Jr. Boys lost their first two games Friday — 49-31 to the Falcons and 71-65 to Woodhaven. Saturday saw the Jr. Boys facing ESSMY. They ended with a 59-31 win and a fifth-place finish.
