Easiest Mayor election ever?! ?

He was the only nomination for Mayor, so no need for a vote. Council election is October 16. ?
When there is only one candidate for office on nomination day – the candidate is acclaimed to the position. Barry Turner was the only candidate and is mayor elect. He becomes mayor once sworn in following the election for the rest of his Council.
