On Tuesday night the Morinville Public Library invited the public to speed date the candidates. The Mayor-elect also took part.

The event was an opportunity for the public to speak one-on-one in a casual conversation with those hoping to be elected for the next four years on one of the six Council seats.

The event was a drop in at any time between 7 and 8:30 pm with no registration required.

Candidates running for Council are Scott Richardson, Lawrence Giffin, Neil McDougall, Nicole Boutestein, Stephen Dafoe, Rebecca Balanko and Sarah Hall.

On Tuesday Amanda Hunka was one of the more than 100 people that donated at the Morinville Blood Donor Clinic. The clinic was held from 2:30 to 7:30 at the Rendez Vous Centre.

Perras Place was demolished on Wednesday. Future plans considered are to create a park with green space, incorporating onsite historical signage to preserve the history of the home and the Perras family.
