Morinville – With the latest census figures freshly in, Morinville could be growing faster than the consultants who put together Morinville’s Recreation Parks and Open Spaces Master Plan envisioned. Consultants from RC Strategies projected Morinville’s population at 8,500 to 10,000 in 2013, not realizing census numbers released to council at the same meeting show Morinville is already at 8,503 residents. Morinville population up by 11 per cent

Morinville – Results are in from the 2011 municipal census the Town of Morinville conducted over the spring and early summer. According to documents included in the Aug. 9 council agenda package, Morinville’s population has increased from 7,636 residents to 8,503 over the past two years, an increase of 867 residents or 11.4 per cent of the 2009 population figures. Averaged, the increase in population represents an annual growth rate of 5.7 per cent… […]
