The Morinville Community Cultural Centre stage played home to almost a dozen Morinville Public School (MPS) band students Wednesday afternoon as the Dragons rocked fellow students and parents with the culmination of their efforts.
The Government of Albert has given Edmonton’s Concrete Theatre Society an $80,000 grant from Status of Women, allowing them to stage a made-in-Alberta play on sexual consent and tour it for 65 performances, reaching up to 22,750 students in large and small communities.
A half dozen seniors choirs from across the region gathered in Morinville May 5 for the 38th Annual Seniors Choral Festival. The afternoon of song was hosted by the Morinville Minstrels and will take place at St. Jean Baptiste Church.
On Wednesday the CWL (Catholic Women's League) sponsored and helped serve the HOWLS lunch for over 190 MCHS students. The HOWLS (Honor, Ownership, Welcoming, Leadership, Safety) lunch is something the school does every month to recognize students behaving in a positive manner.
Heritage Lodge’s new Program Coordinator Liette Beaulieu has had an opportunity to get her feet wet on the job since joining the facility at the end of March. With a full month of activities under her belt, she is now looking to increase the programming and the interconnection with the broader community.
