Features and her brother Pancake were driven off by their mother so she could save the other pups. Features had six seizures in the first hour after she was found, due to dehydration. Two local teens have burst onto Alberta’s volleyball scene in a big way. Carter Hills and Andrew Seguin, grade 10 students from Morinville Community High School (MCHS), have taken their sport by storm. Lately, they’ve been spending their time winning championships, being recognized as tournament All-Stars, and receiving invitations to try-out with volleyball’s best-of-the-best.

The United Steel Workers Local 1207 have presented the Jessica Martel Memorial Foundation (JMMF) with a cheque for $33,000. The monies were presented Sunday morning at the start of the JMMF run during Festival Days. Ray White, President of the United Steel Workers Local 1207, Ivana Niblett, Chairperson of the Women's Committee, and Scott Ruston, 1st Vice- President presented the cheque to Lynne Rosychuk, President of the Jessica Martel Memorial Foundation (JMMF).
