The United Steel Workers Local 1207 have presented the Jessica Martel Memorial Foundation (JMMF) with a cheque for $33,000. The monies were presented Sunday morning at the start of the JMMF run during Festival Days. Ray White, President of the United Steel Workers Local 1207, Ivana Niblett, Chairperson of the Women's Committee, and Scott Ruston, 1st Vice- President presented the cheque to Lynne Rosychuk, President of the Jessica Martel Memorial Foundation (JMMF).

Members of the Raymonde (Perras) Riopel family gathered for family photos in front of the Perras Place building on Saturday during the Farewell Open House. Riopel's children Paul, Suzanne Farrell and Robert Riopel along with their spouses, children and extended family toured the house along with many from the community.

Randy Boissonnault, Member of Parliament for Edmonton Centre and the Special Advisor to the Prime Minister on LGBTQ issues, was at Morinville Public School on Friday afternoon. Also joining him was his Mother Shirley and nephew Ethan Boissonnault.

Rebecca Balanko and Ben Holland made a donation to Morinville Public School as a tribute to their father. It is a buddy bench which serves as a blessing and benefit for all students. The bench was officially brought outside during recess on Thursday morning to be used for the first time. The plaque on the bench reads "Forever and Always, In Loving Memory of Tom Holland Our Dad, Grandpa and Friend.”
