Voters elect two new councillors in Legal

Legal – Monday’s by-election has resulted in Carol Tremblay and Ron Sharma being elected from a ballot of eight candidates. Trembley took the majority of votes with 115 cast in her favour. Close behind was Sharma with 109.

Also running in Monday’s by-election were Kurtis Haupman, who received a very close third with 107 votes, Yvonne Bilodeau (Cyr) with 80 votes, Shealene Page with 56 votes, Florence Lamb with 25 votes… […]

Legal – The Centralta Tourism Society’s (CTS) idea of expanding their Francophone mural collection to the sides of homes in Legal met with the unanimous disapproval of Legal Town Council Monday night.

Capital Ex and the Edmonton Indy both started this past weekend, doubtlessly drawing countless hundreds from the communities of Sturgeon County towards the roar of the crowds and the roar of the engines. But countless hundreds of other spectators (some from Edmonton even) were drawn north on Highway 2 to Legal for Fête au Village.
