Council has received a report from Morinville’s Director of Planning and Development Greg Hofmann which outlines concept plan and development process for the area surrounding Town Hall including the Midstream Support Society Building and Perras Place, both of which are scheduled for future demolition. The Midstream Thrift Store, located at 9922-101 Street, has received a lot of unwanted donations lately. The drop-offs are occurring when they are closed, on weekends, and even in broad daylight. While Midstream encourages donation drop offs, they want to show respect for people who come to the store to buy items, and selling wet; unusable items does not bode well to that end. […]

Midstream Support Society lease agreement unanimously approved by Council

Council has unanimously approved a motion that would allow the Midstream Support Society to enter into a new 35-year lease agreement with the Town on the current property the Midstream Thrift Store is on. The agreement allows the organization to move forward in raising the funds to build a two-story building in partnership with the Lions Club of Morinville that could create more space for other community groups.
