Community Gardens clean up for winter

The Morinville Centennial Community Gardens (MCCGS) held their Fall Work Bee Oct. 7 at both community garden locations: the backyard of the United Church and Champlain Park (across from the arena). Community Gardens promoting backyard bats

Morinville – Backyard bats are the subject of an upcoming Morinville Community Gardens workshop taking place July 15. The local gardening enthusiasts are bringing in Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development bat expert Dr. Margo Pybus to do a session on bats and building bat houses. Cost of the workshop is $35, including supplies to build one. Community Gardens cooking up something new

Morinville – A $2,000 gift from the Morinville Centennial Celebrations Committee is launching another local group on the road to helping people with healthy and homemade eating. The Morinville Community Gardens recently received a cheque from the committee to continue a project they had initiated during the centennial year, a cookbook of local recipes.
