Morinville – After a tough defeat at the hands of a Triple-A club Friday night, the Morinville Senior AA Kings came back with a solid 8-4 victory over the Two Hills Longhorns Saturday afternoon to earn a spot in the Senior A pool gold-medal game Sunday afternoon, the finale to Hockey Alberta’s Senior AA/A Provincial Championships. Morinville – After ending their inaugural season in the North Central Hockey League (NCHL) in second place, the Morinville Senior AA Kings are looking forward to hosting provincials Mar. 28 to 30. The event will feature eight Alberta Double-A teams, including four currently confirmed: The Okotoks Drillers, Dewberry Mustangs, Two Hills Longhorns, and the Morinville Kings. Morinville – With their first regular season in the North Central Hockey League behind them, the Morinville Kings are pleased with their 2nd place finish in the North Division and league overall. The Kings started the season with a .500 record in their first four games, but the club turned things around to take their next six games without interruption.
