St. Albert seniors missing

St. Albert – RCMP are asking the public to assist them with information that might help locate a St. Albert couple who were last seen July 3.

St. Albert RCMP report 79-year-old Lyle Thomas McCann and his wife Marie Ann McCann, 77, were last seen the morning of July 3 in St. Albert.

The couple were driving a 1999 green and white Gulf Stream Sun Voyager motor home, Alberta license plate NBZ 836. The motor home was towing a light greet Hyundai Tucson, Alberta license ZPK 289.

The McCanns were en route to Chilliwack, B.C. on vacation and were expected to meet a family member in Abbotsford the morning of July 10.

There has been no communication with the McCanns since July 3, although the motor home was last seen in the Edson area around July 5.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the St. Albert RCMP at 780-458-7700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

UPDATE JULY 12 – 4:00 p.m.

St. Albert RCMP report that the McCann’s motor home has been found in the Edson area, the Hyundai Tucson it was towing was not with the motor home.

Cst. Janice Schoepp said Edson RCMP are assisting in a search for the couple and that the RCMP Major Crimes unit are now involved.
