Morinville – Candidates have less than two weeks to brush up on their positions, particularly those that might be of interest to Morinville’s business community. The Morinville & District Chamber of Commerce put out an open invitation to all council and school trustee hopefuls Friday afternoon to address Chamber members at their Oct. 6 luncheon, held at the Seniors Rendez-vous Centre.
“We at the Morinville and District Chamber of Commerce believe that it is paramount that the business community have the opportunity to hear the candidates platforms, and have their questions/concerns addressed,” wrote Chamber Manager Jaye Parrent in a press release on the invitation.
The Morinville & District Chamber of Commerce has approximately 180 members, made up of businesses located in and around Morinville and holds a well-attended monthly luncheon for its members, during which a speaker is usually invited.
Candidates or Chamber members looking for more specifics on the Oct. 6 event can contact Chamber Manager Jaye Parrent at 780-939-9462 or Chamber President Sheldon Fingler at 780-975-6152.
We applaud the Chamber for giving the Candidates another venue at which to be heard.
