Morinville – Fourteen of Morinville’s 15 mayoral, council and school trustee candidates came out to the October luncheon of the Morinville and District Chamber of Commerce Wednesday afternoon to make their pitch at business voters and to answer questions from Morinville’s business communities.

Chamber President Sheldon Fingler served as moderator for the event that drew roughly 50 local business owners to hear the candidates speak.

Each candidate was given three minutes to make their pitch and another one minute to do a wrap up at the conclusion of the question and answer period. Questions covered a broad spectrum of business and community interests, including a couple criticisms of council’s practices in the past, particularly with respect to hiring practices.
