Vipers put down by Dogs

Legal – If there is a silver lining in the dark cloud that descended upon the Vipers Wednesday night, it’s that their 7-4 defeat at the hands of the undefeated Onoway Ice Dogs was a closer margin than the 10-1 upset they suffered Oct. 27.

Trailing 7-3 towards the end of the third period, the Vipers managed to pick up their fourth with just a few seconds left in the game.

Wednesday night’s loss brings the Vipers to a 3-3-0 record on the season and places them at .500 hockey. The Ice Dogs are undefeated through six games this season.

The club takes to the road Saturday for an evening match up with the 3-3-0 Hinton Heat. The Vipers return home Sunday for a 1:30 p.m. contest against the 2-4-0 Athabasca Aces.
