Morinville – While drivers in the main event of the Edmonton Indy weekend come from all over the globe, it will be a field full of local drivers in the NASCC Eurasia Cup GT Invitational, which will be one of the weekend’s support races.
Morinville driver Mark Schwabenbauer will be racing in the event, driving his Volkswagen Scirocco in the GTP4 class.
Practice sessions will run Friday from 8:15 a.m. until 8:45 a.m. and on Saturday from 8:25 a.m. until 8:55 a.m. The qualifying race will take place Saturday from 1 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. The final race will run on Sunday from 8:45 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
The Eurasia GT Invitational is hosted by the Northern Alberta Sports Car Club (NASCC) and is sponsored by Eurasia Automotive. The series will see about 50 drivers in five classes from across Western Canada in one of the most exciting races of the weekend.
