Morinville – Sunday night’s Jets home opener began with a special presentation from Servus Credit Union’s Morinville branch. Jets Justin Proulx and Jorey McRae were each presented with $500 cheques from the local financial institution.

In the summer of 2010, Servus made a three-year commitment to provide two annual $500 scholarships to Morinville Jets players. The program began in the fall with a presentation for the previous season.

To qualify for the scholarship the player must be signed with the Morinville Jets and provide confirmation that they are in a post-secondary education or trade program. Additionally, the player should provide a list of volunteer activities and community involvement.
