Morinville – Firefighters from Morinville and Legal responded to a call at Morinville Place on Monday night.
Fire Chief Ron Cust said the call involved a report of a gas smell that began in the parkade area and continued to the building itself. Morinville sent Ladder 4 and Unit 3, and Legal sent a pumper for backup on the call, fully expecting the worse; however, the source of the smell was easily remedied.

“We hit all the hydrants anticipating something, and they discovered the jerry can that had overturned in one of the cars,” Cust said.
