Morinville – The 4th Annual Snowflakes and Stars Christmas Market is only a few weeks away and organizers are expecting another successful turnout. This year’s event will feature approximately 40 area vendors with a variety of products and giftware for sale, including home décor, gourmet food, clothing and accessories, natural health products, children’s books, toys, jewellery, and other items suitable for unique holiday gift-giving.
“Each year, this event has supported a local non-profit society, and this year we are supporting Morinville Tiny Tots Preschool,” said organizer Kelli Allen “Money raised through raffles will be donated to the Preschool as they are fundraising for a new facility, and are looking to upgrade their classroom fixtures and [to] be able to provide new and unique learning opportunities for their students. Morinville Tiny Tots has been a part of the community for nearly 40 years and looks forward to being able to grow with the community and meet the growing demands of Morinville’s families.”
In addition to benefiting from the proceeds from the raffle, Tiny Tots Preschool will also be running a concession stand to generate additional revenue.
But the charitable giving does not end with Tiny Tots. Organizers will also be accepting donations for the Morinville Food Bank Society at the market.
The event will take place at the Morinville Community Cultural Centre from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Nov. 19. Admission is free.
More Christmas selling coming up
The Snowflakes and Stars Christmas Market will be followed a week later with the Morinville Public Library’s annual Christmas Craft Sale, their largest public fundraiser of the year.
