MCHS students take part in anti-bullying event

By MorinvilleNews.com Staff

Edmonton – Lunchtime visitors to the Kingsway Mall in Edmonton were struck by a flashmob of Greater St. Albert Catholic School students Thursday. The mob of 150 students, including a number from Morinville Community High School, performed a spontaneous dance routine to raise awareness of the Government of Alberta’s anti-bullying campaign.

Each of the students wore toques with the campaign slogan Stand Up on them. Below is a video of the flashmob event.

For more information on the government’s program, visit the information site.

In Morinville an anti-bullying candle light vigil is being planned for December. We hope to have a story on this local initiative later next week.
