Centennial quilt

Alberta MacAuley made a presentation to Morinville Town Council Tuesday night of the centennial quilt made by the library’s quilting club. The historical handmade heirloom was funded through a centennial grant given to the Friends of the Morinville Public Library in February of this year.

MacAuley told councillors considerable work went into the design and making of the quilt and that three fabrics were chosen to appear somewhere in each of the quilt’s blocks.

The quilt will be on display during the art show at the Community Cultural Centre Nov. 27 during the Light Up the Night Christmas Festival.
