Morinville – Notre Dame students entertained family and guests with two Christmas concerts Thursday. The 2011 Notre Dame Christmas Concert theme was Honouring 100 Years of Christmas in Morinville. Student groups dressed in clothing from different eras to celebrate the theme.

Each class had speakers to tell a bit of the history of Morinville and a projector showed archival pictures from each era.

Kindergarten students Sofiya Chuojka, Caleb Shepperd, Savanna Jardine and Alyssa Enns dressed for the 1950s era. The Kindergarten students performed a medley of tunes, including The Chipmunk Song, Up on the House Top, Drummer Boy, Frosty the Snowman and I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas.
The three kings - Jason Akle, Carter Mundy and Seth Zacharias - were part of the final scene’s nativity cast who were joined by the senior choir singing Mary’s Boy Child.
