Whole lot of chilli goin’ on
The Morinville United church will hold their monthly community supper Friday night from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Chilli is on the menu this month with everything from mild to volcano-like. Meal includes dessert and beverages. Cost is $7.50 for adults, $5 for children under 12. Children under 5 eat free, and there is a family rate of $30. The church is located at 9610 Morinville Drive.

Musician Justin Hogg will be bringing his This Just In show to higher Grounds Friday night. The performance begins at 7 p.m. at the popular local coffee house. There is a $5 cover charge for the 2-hour performance.
Game on
The Morinville Jets enter round 2 of CJHL hockey playoffs Friday night at the Ray McDonald Sports Centre. The Jets will take on the Edmonton Mustangs. Game time is 8:30 p.m.
