Grade 4 students at Notre Dame Catholic Elementary School spent Thursday learning about Canada’s First Nations people.

Guest speaker Sharon Churchill helps Notre Dame student Rain Arcand try on a vest from the Fort Chipewyan First Nations people. The vest, together with other items that would be seen at a trading post were on display for the students to experience. In addition to a number of activities, students had an opportunity to try first Nations food at lunch, including buffalo and moose stew, bannock and buffalo heart.

Morinville Public Elementary School held their first snow day Thursday afternoon with events outside and inside the school.
