Morinville – The Jets picked up their second consecutive win Tuesday night, a 7-6 decision against the visiting Fort Saskatchewan Hawks. The home-ice victory brings the Jets to 15-11-0 and added another two points to their season tally.
The club started the game trailing the Hawks 4-3. That fortune was reversed in the middle frame when the Jets picked up another four goals to the Hawks single effort. Third period game play saw the Jets unable to advance from their 7-5 second period lead. The Hawks managed one more during the final frame, scored with 2.8 seconds left on the clock.
The Jets play another home game this week – Sunday night against the North Edmonton Red Wings, a club the Jets have failed to defeat this season. Game time is 6:45 p.m. at the Ray McDonald Sports Centre.
