Morinville News Poll shows people want to laugh

Community Cultural Centre

Last weeks Morinville News web poll ended Sunday night and revealed what those who took the poll would like to see at the Morinville Community Cultural Centre.

Stand up comedy and children’s shows topped the list with 22.81 per cent of the vote each. This was closely followed by plays at 21.05 per cent. Music acts ranked lower on the list. Rock acts received 15.79 per cent of the vote, country acts received 12.28 per cent. Another 5.26 per cent of the vote expressed the opinion there should be no acts funded by the Town as Morinville should not be in the concert business.

The Morinville Community Cultural Centre will host Jake’s Gift Thursday night, a play about a World War II veteran who returns overseas, and children’s performer Will Stroet who will perform Saturday afternoon.

Details on both shows can be found at www.morinvillecentre.ca
