Morinville’s Champion Petfoods finalist for major business award

Morinville – The Alberta Chamber of Commerce have identified Champion Petfoods LP as a finalist for the Alberta Business Awards of Distinction. Champion has been nominated and chosen as a finalist in the award’s Export Category. The company is also eligible for the Premier’s Award of Distinction.

“We are delighted to be nominated for this award,” said Champion President and CEO Frank Burdzy in a release Wednesday. “We are continually trying to make the best food
and be the best company we can, so being recognized in this way is quite nice.”

Champion will find out if they are this year’s award recipients during the Alberta Chamber of Commerce gala dinner to be held Mar. 8 at the Marriott Hotel at River Cree Resort and Casino.

The local manufacturer joins The Flower Stop, a past finalist in the Alberta Chamber of Commerce’s Award of Distinction, in being recognized for provincial business honours.
