Edmonton – The Morinville Jets season came to an end in double overtime Feb. 20. After winning on the road Feb. 15 and losing at home Feb. 18, the best-of-three series against the North Edmonton Red Wings was pushed to a third deciding game last Wednesday evening.

The Jets ended the opening frame leading the Red Wings 2-1 and entered the final frame tied 5-5. Both clubs advanced by a goal in the third period, pushing the contest to overtime. When that time allotment ended in a draw, the contest moved to double overtime and a goal by the Red Wings put the Jets into hibernation until the 2013-2014 season next fall.
