Morinville – Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred late Sunday night at the Morinville Liquor Store. Police were called to the business, located at 10012 103 Street, around 10:15 p.m Sunday evening and learned two males had entered the business armed with a handgun and restrained the lone employee. The males departed with an undisclosed amount of money and bottles of liquor.
RCMP Police Dog Service and the Forensic Identification Section were called in to assist in the investigation. Police spent Monday morning doing extensive patrols in the area in the hope of gaining additional evidence or potential witnesses.
