Pet therapy
Morinville resident Lori Goodwin and her English Bulldog Gurdy were at the Day Program at the Morinville Clinic Wednesday morning. Goodwin is with the Pet Therapy Society of Northern Alberta. She and her husband Kevin have two Bulldogs that they bring to greet people and bring a smile to their face. Goodwin said she has been to Glenrose, Fort Saskatchewan and St Albert hospital, University of Alberta hospital, Aspen House and Heritage Lodge. Goodwin has been involved with Pet Therapy for more than four years. She was one of the recipients of the Queen Diamond Jubilee Medal presented by Premier Alison Redford at a ceremony held in Edmonton Feb.9 for her work in re-establishing the Pet Therapy Program at the U of A Stollery Hospital after it had been shut down for five years. – Lucie Roy Photo
