Morinville Lions Club and Knights of Columbus members pose for a photo at a Canadian Blood Services event Sunday. The two groups were recognized for their efforts in running the Canadian Blood Services Clinics in Morinville. This year, the Morinville Lions Club are celebrating their 45th year of service with Canadian Blood Services.

“The community of Morinville are always very supportive of blood donor clinics, thanks to the tremendous work the Lions Club does as ambassadors for Canadian Blood Services in the community, helping to raise awareness of the need for blood and promoting the blood donor clinic to first time donors,” said Deb Steele-Kretschmer, Communications Specialist, Alberta & NWT
Canadian Blood Services, in an e-mail Sunday evening.

Both the Morinville Lions Club and the members of the Morinville Knights of Columbus were thanked for their dedication to the blood system.
