Whole lot of HOJA

HOJA members Dave Elder, Jeremy Mielke and Matt Deroche put on a one-hour concert at Georges H. Primeau Middle School Thursday afternoon. The Canadian a cappella group have performed for the past decade and recorded several CDs. They perform many favourite songs from the 1950s to the present, spanning a variety of musical styles, including doo-wop, rock, country and disco. In addition to an a cappella treatment of a Justin Bieber number, the trio vocally replicated drum and other instrument sounds as well as a number of sound effects. – Lucie Roy Photo
