School’s out for summer
French Immersion afternoon Kindergarten student Natalie Bond poses with her certificate and teacher Mme Stephanie Hallett Wednesday afternoon. The Kindergarten last day of classes and yearend celebrations began June 19 at Notre Dame and will continue until Friday. Wednesday was the last day for Mme Hallett’s and Mrs. Van Brabant’s class. The celebrations took place in the school library with a slide presentation, followed by certificates, pictures and refreshments. Thursday will be the last day for Mrs. Watson’s class, and Friday for Mrs. Blanchette’s. – Lucie Roy Photo

Bees!
Notre Dame student Avery Melnyk and her Mom Amy Melynk, who was volunteering at the school, show some bees to Mrs. Angelle Peacocks’ Grade 1 and 2 class June 19. Avery’s aunt and uncle from the Wedman Werx Inc. Bee Farm in Onoway supplied the bees. They also presented each student with a honey stick and a Meet Berta Bee Activity book. – Lucie Roy Photo
