Morinville – Friday’s Farmers’ Market offered visitors more than products and produce. The 2nd Annual Street Performers Festival brought a carnival atmosphere to the weekly gathering of vendors. In addition to local performers and a gigantic inflatable slide, a number of local celebrities lined up to take a shift in the dunk tank. This year’s dunk tank raised $600, funds that will be split between the Festival Society and the Friends of the Morinville Public Library.

Below are some highlights of the day’s activities.

Farmers’ Market Manager Korien Sampson heads for the deep end of the dunk tank.

Community Services’ Allen Jacobson plays a little Duke Ellington on the trombone in defiance of those tossing balls his way.

A balloon twister plies his trade.

Six-year-old Shayliee McNeill takes a dive down the giant slide.

Debbie Burrill performs as Loretta Lynn.

Riley Quinn rocks out with the Smith Music Advanced Band Camp students.
