Morinville – The Jets earned one of four possible victories over the weekend, redeeming themselves with a 10-6 win over the visiting Stony Plain Flyers Sunday night. The Jets built on a 3-1 lead at the end of the first period to advance their game to 7-2 by the end of the middle frame. Another three goals in the final period gave the Jets the 10-6 win, their only victory of the tournament.
The Jets fell 4-3 to Wetaskiwin and Leduc both Saturday and 4-2 to St. Albert Sunday afternoon.
The Jets open the 2013/2014 regular season in St. Albert against the Merchants Sept. 20 and play their home opener against the Wetaskiwin Icemen Sept. 22 at 6:45 p.m.
