Morinville – On Saturday, Nov. 30, the Morinville Community Cultural Centre (MCCC) will transform their stage for Flyin’ Bob’s One Man, Three Ring Circus. Flyin’ Bob will perform twice, first at 10:30 a.m. and again at 2:00 p.m. His high energy, humorous show features music, juggling, unicycling, high-wire walking, balancing acts and much more, making it a perfect outing for the whole family.

Bob Palmer, aka Flyin’ Bob, has traveled across Canada and around the globe for more than 20 years, performing in every type of venue for audiences of all ages. Having dazzled viewers on the street and stage, national television, festivals in Europe, Japan, Singapore, Australia, Korea, Israel, Egypt, and the US, he is known world-wide for his unique brand of comedy and physical theatre. His theater show, Articulate Nonsense, is described as a celebration of risk taking, audience participation, success, failure, useless skills, play, run-on sentences, and never giving up.

A review from the Carberry Plains Arts Council stated that Flyin’ Bob is a superb performer who is funny, delightful and captivating. He was born in Nova Scotia and grew up in Saskatoon, but recently moved to Sylvan Lake, Alberta. Previous jobs include performing as a guitar player for numerous rock bands, teaching at schools such as the Red Deer Community Circus Camp, and coaching springboard diving, to name a few. He admits to having a number of other “real jobs”, none of which he was passionate about or cared to pursue.

When the opportunity to become a variety performer presented itself, he took the chance and has never regretted it. In a review by Daily Townsman Editor Barry Coulter, Flyin’ Bob is described as much more than a juggler. “…or even a unicycle rider/juggler, or even a high-wire walking/unicycle riding/garden chair stacking/magician/comedian/juggler. Flyin’ Bob is the real entertainment deal, a full-on three-ring circus in the form of one man … a colourful, kinetic, comedic, self-disciplined whirlwind.”

Although it will not be his first visit to Morinville, Flyin’ Bob is excited about the upcoming performance. He explained that his show really is for all ages. “I love audiences that are a mix of adults and children. All aspects of the show will be fun for kids of all ages and adults alike. I think like a child so I identify with kids a lot. They appreciate my juvenile sense of humour.”

Flyin’ Bob’s One Man, Three Ring Circus is part of Morinville’s Saturday line-up for the Light Up the Night Christmas Festival, following the Lions Pancake Breakfast with Santa. Everyone is welcome to attend. There is no charge for either the 10:30 a.m. or 2 p.m. show. For more information, visit the MCCC website at www.morinvillecentre.ca or call 780-939-4361.
