A suspicious vehicles stopped through a partnership between Morinville RCMP and CFB Edmonton Military Police resulted in the seizure of drugs, cash and a weapon. Police stopped the vehicle on Highway 28 in Sturgeon County Jan. 24. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of approximately $3,600 in cash and a sawed off shotgun. Drugs seized at the scene were 98 tablets believed to be ecstasy, 86 grams of crack cocaine, 46 grams of soft cocaine, 59 grams believed to be crystal meth and drug paraphernalia.
Two individuals have been charged with several drugs and weapons offences. Police have not released the names of the two charged in the incident.
