Police looking for truck theft culprits

Morinville RCMP are looking for information on two unsolved truck thefts from February.

In the early morning of Feb. 19th, two males driving an older model GMC truck extended cab entered a property on Range Road 250 near Sturgeon Road and stole fuel, a Chevrolet truck and a yellow flatbed trailer. The two males are said to be in their 20s, of slim build but were covering their head and part of their faces at the time. The stolen truck was recovered a few days later in Gibbons without the trailer.

The second incident occurred in the early morning hours of Feb. 21. A female in a newer black Ford F150 was seen stealing various items, including generators, golf clubs, and tools from a property near Township Road 542 and Range Road 244 in Sturgeon County. A witness described the suspect as a younger female of average height, a little heavier, darker skin, and wearing Jeans and black coat. The witness did not obtain a vehicle licence plate but observed that it was clean and was not damaged.

Morinville RCMP are asking the public for help in solving this crime. Anyone with information is asked to call the Morinville RCMP at 780-939-4520 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
