Higher Grounds Espresso Bar was packed Thursday night for the coffee house’s monthly charity crib tournament. The fun evening of social card playing raised more than $400 for the Mayr family whose daughter Blakelee was born with Cornelia de Lange Syndrome. Morinville Christian School held their Quarterly Awards and Open House Thursday night before a packed audience. Music and Drama were added to the school’s program this year. The evening included a play with no words performed by the school’s Drama students. After the formal portion of the evening was over, a tour of the school was available for parents and prospective students.

Steven Cluett received Distinction for the third quarter, achieved Gold in the Race for Gold Challenge, achieved Bible Club and Honor Roll. Awards were presented to the Junior and Senior Learning Centre students for Honor Roll, Distinction, Great Distinction, Bible Club and Race for Gold.
