Morinville – Sponsors Champion Petfoods and Noah’s Ark Pets and Supplies are teaming up this year to bring a wide range of animal activities to this year’s St. Jean Baptiste Festival. Organizer Tammy Frieze said in addition to the Hamster Races that have become a staple of the festival over the past few years, attendees can expect to see several other animal activities, including dog agility, dog scenting, obedience training, a dog healer that works with animal anxieties, and several animal adoption agencies, including the Morinville Veterinary Clinic.

Additionally, Horse Sense Training & Petting Zoo will be bringing their Cinderella Carriage for people to take photos near. Local photographer Samantha Ringuette will also be on hand to take pet photos for attendees and their animals.

Frieze is confident people will enjoy the line up of animal activities. “It’s fun for the families,” she said. “I find that the families of Morinville – everyone has a pet. It’s just a fun time for all the kids and families to get together.” Festival Chair Paul Smith agrees. “Champion and Noah’s Ark have teamed up to make the biggest pet activity event the festival has seen.”

St. Jean Baptiste Festival takes place from June 20 to 22.
