Familiar and changing faces this fall in local schools

There will be some familiar and new faces behind the school administrative desks of Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools this fall. The Division announced its new Leadership Teams for the coming school year Monday afternoon.

“We are fortunate to have the opportunity to provide some aspiring teachers in our District with a leadership opportunity, present current leaders with new challenges while hiring some new leaders to strengthen our team,” said Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools Superintendent David Keohane in a release issued by the Division.

Changes include administrative teams at École Notre Dame Elementary School and Legal School.

École Notre Dame Elementary School will receive a completely new administrative team. Taking on the role of principal is Raymonde Roulston, currently of Legal School. Joinging Roulston as Vice Principal is Tracy Melnyk. Current Notre Dame Principal Marlene Pelletier will be leaving Morinville to become principal of École Father Jan, and current Vice Principal Angela Gauthier will become vice Principal of St. Gabriel Storefront School.

Replacing Raymonde Roulston as principal of Legal School is Shelby Moser, currently a teacher at École Georges H. Primeau Middle School. Cara Mazur will remain vice principal of the school.

École Georges H. Primeau Middle School will see no changes to its administrative staff.
Allan Menduk remains principal of the school, while Christina MacKinnon and Sleight Anstruther will continue as the school’s Assistant Principals.

There are also no changes at Morinville Community High School planned for the 2014-2015 school year. Todd Eistetter remains principal of the school and Wade Michael will remain vice principal of the high school.

  1. What a big change to know longer have Madame Pelletier in a Morinville school! She was MY grade one teacher almost 30 years ago, and it’s seemed like she was always such a big part of the community.
