Block party 2
Around the block again
A party in the neighbourhood can sometimes lead to bad blood between neighbours and a phone call to the police, but for 86 Street residents, the idea of a party was welcomed. Andre Houle and his neighbours organized their second annual block party Friday night, an opportunity to mix and mingle. While parents chatted over a beer and some burgers, kids had the chance to enjor a couple bouncy castles and each other’s company.

BBQ
Grilling for a cause
Drayden Insurance employees Hillary Pulsifer and Branch Manager Blair Shepherd took to the grill during a Fundraiser BBQ at their 100 Street office Friday afternoon. The event, sponsored by Sobeys Morinville, raised money for the Mayr family of Morinville. The Mayr’s 18-month-old daughter Blakelee was born with a rare genetic disorder that affects 1 in 10,000 to 50,000 children. The family are raising funds to attend a special conference in the United States to learn how to better understand their daughter’s disorder.
