Charity Shop
Sad news for charity shop
The Helping Hand charity shop on 100 Avenue announced last week they will be closing in mid-September. Sources from the shop say the store’s lease is not being renewed by the building’s owner. There are no plans to relocate the store that has helped many over the years.

cairn-2
The 59 year-old cairn, located at the corner of the St. Emile Roman Catholic Church in Legal, was being soda blasted on Wednesday. The cairn will then be sealed before a new coating is applied. There are four plaques on the cairn: the Knights of Columbus, one for the priests, one for Town of Legal, and one from the former Legal Legion to representing veterans that served. The cairn is used on Nov. 11 for Remembrance Services but is not a cenotaph. – Lucie Roy Photo
